End of the Year!

We spent New Years Eve at the Coe's house.  Seriously love LOVE hanging out with that family!  I brought some delicious potato and cheese soup and Trent made some meatballs.  Pink frosting cookies and quiche?  Yes, please!

It was fun to see the kids fall asleep early.  Poor Faith was out like a light and Jamie was FINALLY able to get Hope to sleep.  Love those two little angels!  Ava played on the iPad with Hannah for awhile near the end and I even convinced Lyle to take a picture with me.  It was a fun night full of lots of giggles and yummy food!

Full Saturday

The Saturday after Christmas, we spent the day with Lyle's family.  We started at the Energy Solutions Arena to watch BYU cream Virginia Tech.  For awhile, Ava sat with Grandpa, chewing on chicken nuggets...

...but, as soon as Denise and Terrin arrived, Ava and Aspen immediately moved to their laps.  All kids love Terrin and Denise.  Maybe because they're not really adults yet and are still kids too?  Ava loves to call Terrin, and then when he looks at her, she hides her face and giggles.

After the game, we decided to head to City Creek for shopping and browsing until the lights at Temple Square came on.  Ava and Aspen wanted to ride the "train" (Trax), so we went and waited for a train...and waited.  The first train was incredibley full, as was the second...no room, no room at the inn.  :(  We waited for 30 minutes for two trains and decided to just walk.

Once it got dark enough (but not quite completely dark), we headed out to see lights.  It was bitter cold, but wonderful.  My holiday doesn't seem complete if I don't see the lights.  I never force myself to go if it's too cold or snowing, but the years I haven't made it, Christmas doesn't seem like Christmas.

After the lights, Mom took us to Deseret Book so the kids could pull the train whistle.

Later that evening, the kidlets were exhuasted.  Ava fell asleep in Sean's bed and I couldn't resist a picture.  Who knows if it will happen again?

Christmas 2012

Woke up Christmas Eve day to a world of white. It was so beautiful! The snow was gently falling to the ground; big, fat flakes of white. So peaceful. A perfect drive for Christmas Eve.

Lyle and Daddy spent some time fiddling with the guitar;  Daddy teaching Lyle some chords and Lyle trying them out.

Christmas Eve jammies are a tradition in the Visarraga household.  Brenna is a stink this year and decided to switch loyalties from BYU to the U.  Boooo!

Sean opened his Santa present on Christmas morning and "fainted".  An iPod touch!  He's been begging for one!

Ava's Santa present was a new kitchen with food and dishes.  She loves to pretend to cook.  Santa brought the family a WiiU (we haven't bought a gaming system since the N64, and we bought THAT at the pawn shop).

It was a fabulous Christmas and thought this post is short I'm still enjoying looking at my Christmas tree all lit up in the dark living room.

Sunday Morning

We were out of town for the Sunday before Christmas this year (Lyle's aunt Kelari was baptized and confirmed) so Sean and Ava wore their Christmas outfits at a ward they've never been to before. But, they looked great!

Sitting with Santa

We went to Bailey and Camden's dance recital today.  It was fun to watch Bailey in her first recital, and Camden rocks it at Tumbling!  Afterwards, Ava sat on Santa's lap...willingly...for the first time!  And even smiled for the camera!

Aspen Dance

Ava's cousin Aspen had her first dance recital last weekend!  We had so much fun watching her dance.  She's a natural! After the recital was over, Aspen had to have a picture on the stage with Ava and Bailey.

Bouncy Place

Ava affectionately calls this "The Bouncy Place". It's super fun and we go there quite often. Even thought we technically celebrated Boston's birthday a few days ago at the family Christmas party (with cupcakes and presents), we all met for some jumping fun to celebrate his birthday today.
